Kimberly Ellis
Kimberly Thompson Ellis is a respected tax,trade and economic policy expert who joined the firm in February 2012. She has been recgonized as a key Congressional expert on trade and tax issues, especially on issues relating to innovation and job creation, and was named one of the “Top Ten” Trade and Tax Staffers of 2009 by Roll Call. In addition, she has worked extensively on issues relating to health care, aviation, and energy and natural resources.
Kimberly joined the firm after serving as the Legislative Director to Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX), who is the Chairman of the Trade Subcommittee of the House Committee on Ways and Means, Vice Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee, and Deputy Republican Whip. Kimberly has been responsible for overseeing Rep. Brady’s legislative agenda and in advising him on his work on the Ways & Means Committee.
Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Kimberly served at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative as Confidential Assistant and Deputy Executive Secretary to Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick, and as a Trade Advisor at a Washington, D.C. law firm.
Kimberly is a member of the Board of the Directors of the Washington International Trade Association. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in history. She and her husband Rich have two children, Mason and Abigail, and live in Arlington, VA.
