Rich Thomas Promoted to Senior Vice President at Monument Policy Group
Washington, D.C. - Monument Policy Group, LLC announced today that Rich Thomas has been named Senior Vice President at the firm effective January 1. Partner and Founder C. Stewart Verdery, Jr. stated, “Rich’s performance at Monument Policy Group the past 18 months has been superb, and his new position reflects the increased responsibilities he is performing for a broad group of the firm’s clients.”
Thomas joined Monument Policy Group in July 2008 and most recently served as Vice President of Government Relations. His practice focuses on trade, customs, taxation, homeland security, and health care, with special emphasis on outreach to Democrats in the House of Representatives.

In addition to his policy work, Thomas was a Regional Whip staff member, coordinating closely with the House Democratic Leadership in floor strategy and vote counting before key votes.
Earlier in his career, after completing the Participation 2000 campaign management school, Thomas assisted political campaigns in New Jersey. He was also active in the races of Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) and Melissa Bean (D-IL).
Thomas is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
